Las Vegas, Nevada may be one of the most marketed cities on the planet. Everyone knows that what happens there, stays there. This marketing phrase has attracted many people to consider this as the ultimate party town. “Don’t worry; get as crazy as you like in Vegas, because nothing you do here will stay with you,” seems to be the slogan of the city. And it works. What can marketers in social media take away from this city of marketing genius?

    Reward Good Behavior

The main pastime in Vegas is gambling, and casino owners reward frequent gamblers with a player’s card. This keeps them going with an extra incentive. This same technique is applied to the frequent flyer on same airlines. In Vegas, however, only gambling is “good behavior,” so this is the only behavior that earns a reward.

Know What You Can Afford to Give Away

Create freebies that your customers will enjoy (and talk about to their friends). But take a clue from Vegas and know what you can afford to give away. Complimentary (free) activities, or “comps” in Vegas terms, could be food, room nights, or show tickets. To your business, a comp might be a coupon for a free sample of your product, or two free nights at your hotel if five are purchased, or whatever is right for you. Know what you can give away without problems that will earn you a return, loyal customer.

    Create Many Entry Points

There are many physical entry points in a Las Vegas casino. This can apply in SMM with online destinations, too. Create many links to your site and invite people into your experience in as many ways as you can.
